Karelia resort SPA & Wellness Center

This SPA facility was designed as part of a boutique hotel within a resort, creating a private wellness experience deeply integrated into the surrounding landscape. The building is a fully monolithic reinforced concrete structure, partially embedded into the ground and connected to the hotel by an underground tunnel.

The architecture is intentionally strict, quiet, and monumental. Its concrete volume becomes part of the terrain, while the landscaped accessible roof allows the building to blend naturally into the site. Outside, the pool water is designed to align with the terrace level, visually extending toward the lake and creating a calm, seamless connection between architecture, water, and nature.

Inside, the SPA includes a 14-meter swimming pool with hydrotherapy features, a hammam, a sauna, and carefully designed relaxation areas. While Egor developed the strong architectural concept and monolithic structure, Tatiana brought a bold and expressive interior approach, playing with color, form, and atmosphere. This contrast between restrained architecture and vibrant interiors gives the project its unique identity — solid, immersive, and memorable.
