Govardhan Library Building

This library building was part of one of the most unique and meaningful projects in our practice — a large cultural and religious complex in Govardhan, India, an important place for Krishna devotees around the world.

SOZDAN DESIGN worked as the general designer in collaboration with an architect who guided the traditional, cultural, and religious foundation of the project. Our role was to organize and develop the technical side of the work, coordinating the design process for a site that included more than 20 buildings.

The library was designed as a multifunctional building with a reading hall, archive, performance hall, audio recording studio, conference rooms, and offices. The project required a careful balance between symbolic meaning, functional planning, and technical coordination.

For us, this was an extraordinary experience — a project where architecture had to support knowledge, community, tradition, and spiritual life.
