Govardhan Pilgrim Guest House
This was one of the most unusual and meaningful projects in our practice. Located in Govardhan, India, an important spiritual destination for Krishna devotees from around the world, the project gave SOZDAN DESIGN the opportunity to work on a large hospitality and pilgrimage complex with a very unique cultural context.
We served as the general design coordinator in collaboration with an architect who was deeply familiar with the traditional and religious foundation of the project. While he guided the symbolic and cultural aspects, our team was responsible for the technical, organizational, and design coordination across the site.
The overall development included more than 20 buildings. This guest house for pilgrims was one of them — a hospitality building designed to support visitors during their stay in Govardhan. SOZDAN DESIGN also developed the interior design for the guest rooms, creating simple, comfortable, and respectful spaces aligned with the purpose of the project.
