Ballard View Residence Remodel
This remodel project in Ballard, Seattle, reimagines a charming 1926 residence in need of a major renovation. Our goal at SOZDAN DESIGN was to preserve the visible character of a nearly century-old home while giving it a clearly updated, contemporary feel.
The project keeps the most expressive features of the original house, increases the usable area of the second floor, and completely reworks the interior architecture to create a more comfortable, functional, and cozy living environment.
Located at the top of a slope, the home offers spectacular views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. One of the main design goals was to orient the key living spaces toward this remarkable outlook and make the view part of everyday life.
The exterior keeps stucco as the primary material, while the new architectural elements introduce copper wall shingles and exposed timber beams. These details add warmth, depth, and a distinctive unique character to the updated home.
Location: Seattle, Ballard
