This project started with a simple goal: to create a covered outdoor area that would make the existing deck more comfortable and usable throughout the year.

   Rather than treating the canopy as a purely functional addition, SOZDAN DESIGN developed it as an architectural extension of the house. Angled columns give the structure a more dynamic character, while the tempered-glass roof provides weather protection without blocking natural light or making the deck feel enclosed.

   Carefully resolved connections, proportions, and detailing help the new structure feel light, intentional, and integrated with the existing home. The result is a practical outdoor improvement that also adds a distinct architectural identity to the backyard.
